Inspiration

Inspiration is a funny thing.

I had a desire to craft a game world that could exist simultaneously with the Real World, in a way that non-participants could potentially be delighted (or perhaps confused) by its discovery. The world of fame and professional entertainment, at least in the near past of tell-all-memoirs and tour documentaries, seemed to be an alternate reality that is at once both fantastical and approachable.

Mic Drop is the result of that inspiration. In playing the game, you will construct a band whose drama is a spectacular dumpster fire, compounded by a train wreck of an album tour. These disasters may be used in the creation of an artifact of play -- an observable spectacle on your social media platform of choice.
